Introduction

On May 25, 2018 came into force the new European regulations concerning the processing of personal data. In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament of April 27, 2016, everyone has the rights to query, access, modify, oppose and rectify their personal data.

Faced with the development of new communication tools, it is necessary to pay particular attention to the protection of privacy. That is why we are committed to respecting the confidentiality of the personal information that we collect. We may need to modify this Privacy Policy / Confidentiality. Some information is collected in order to comply with the laws and standards in force regarding the distribution of veterinary drugs.

You have rights regarding the processing of your personal data. If Vétos d'Urgence asks you an explicit authorization for a particular processing of your data, you can always thereafter withdraw your consent at any time

If it appears to you that your data is not being used in an appropriate manner, you can ask us to have your data deleted from our records.

You can exercise your rights, ask us any questions or comments about this declaration at contact@vetosdurgence.be or at our postal address. We will do our best to process your request as soon as possible, and in any case, within one month (subject to extensions authorized by law).

Please note that we will not be able to accede to your request for objection if we can demonstrate that we have legitimate and compelling reasons to process your data which prevail over your interests or another reason which justifies the continuation of the processing of your personal data (e.g. legal obligation, contracts, etc.).

For any and all requests, we will ask you a proof of your identity by communicating a copy of your front / back identity card or by communicating your customer number or any other data that will allow us to verify your identity.

Who has Access to My Personal Data?

We share your personal data with the following categories of people:
• Our employees who are called upon to process your file. They will however have access to your data provided that they have an imperative need to know your personal data for the mission which is requested to them, either on the "need-to-know" basis;
• Employees of institutional partners such as the Walloon administration services, or any other ministry or public authority;
• Employees of tax administrations or any other public body when the law or any other regulation requires that your personal data be communicated;
• Third-party service providers who act on our behalf, including in particular veterinarians, lawyers, bailiffs, external consultants, auditors, IT providers, communication companies, etc.

Will my Personal Data be transmitted Outside of Belgium?

Vétos d'Urgence does not in principle transfer personal data outside of Belgium.
However, if Vétos d'Urgence should be required to communicate your personal information to countries outside the European Economic Area, standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission would be imposed on the recipient if the protection of personal data is not sufficiently protected in the country of destination.

How long will my Personal Data be kept?

We only keep your personal data for the time necessary for the purposes described above.
In principle, we will delete your personal data from our systems in the absence of contact with you or with the company with which you work and which is in a business relationship with Vétos d'Urgence or after the end of the contract which binds you or your company with Vétos d'Urgence after an uninterrupted period of five years. However, we may keep your personal data for a longer period of time if required by law or regulation.

Modifications and Amendments

We may make changes to this Privacy and Confidentiality Statement from time to time in order, primarily, to adapt to new regulatory requirements. Any modification takes effect immediately after the publication of the updated Privacy and Confidentiality Declaration. In the case of a substantial modification, a notification will be highlighted before its entry into force or will be sent directly to you. Would you continue to use our services after the effective date of the amended Privacy and Confidentiality Declaration, we will consider that you accept these modifications.

Legislation

We undertake to comply with the legislative provisions set out in the Law of 8 December 1992 on the protection of privacy with regard to the processing of personal data and its implementing decrees.
